The Preucil School of Music, established in 1974, is internationally known
for excellence. We offer a wide range of
Suzuki
method-based instrument lessons, group classes, orchestras, and chamber
music for all ages; an arts-based
Preschool
for children from three to five years old; and
Music
Together® classes for children from newborn to four years old and
their parents.

Annual String Concert Feb 26 at University of Iowa Memorial Union Main Lounge
The 38th Annual String Concert will be held Feb. 26 at 2:00.

- This concert features all string students by instrument, starting with the most advanced,
adding students for each piece played and ending with the addition of the young students who have
only mastered the Twinkle Variations.
- Also featured are PSSO, the most advanced string orchestra, and Espressivo Strings, the most advanced
violin performing group.
- Concert is free and open to the public.

Benefits Preucil Playground Resurfacing Project
Friday, February 24, (all day) is Preucil School Day at both Bruegger's Bagel Bakeries locations.
Pick up a healthy snack, treat your colleagues or pick up supper and 15% of your purchase will benefit
the Preucil School Playground Fund. See below for details of the project.
- Click Preucil Day Flyer to download a flyer to print.
- On Feb. 24 make a purchase from Bruegger's WITH a Preucil Day flyer.
- Ask the clerk to attach the flyer to the store copy of the bill so Preucil School gets the credit.
- 15% of your purchase will be donated to the Playground Resurfacing Project.
- Stores are located at 404 1st Avenue, Coralville, and 715 S Riverside Drive, Iowa City.
Capital Campaign for Resurface of North Campus Preschool Playground
Preucil School Playground project is a capital campaign to continue to make the vision of a safe,
rubber surface playground a reality. The goal is to raise approximately $75,000 by spring.
The project includes:
- Adding new railings.
- Expanding the fencing around the playground so it is a larger area for students to play in.
- Installing sod in areas where there is currently sand.
- Replacing the mulch base with a tiled material made from recycled Iowa tires.

Every Child Can!© Course Mar 24 with Christie Felsing
Every Child Can! is a one day introductory course on the Suzuki philosophy and its application to education.
For parents, teachers, prospective teachers and others, this course provides an inspiring, in-depth look at the
Suzuki approach to teaching and learning. For teachers, ECC serves as the first course in the Suzuki
Association of the Americas Teacher Development Program. To learn more, click the link to read about the

Reinsager Family Donates $10,000 to Establish Endowed Scholarship
The Family of Robert Reinsager, who passed away unexpectedly January 25, 2010, recently donated $10,000
to the Preucil School to endow a scholarship in Robert's memory.
Robert was an organist, an opera buff and a world traveler, who enjoyed visiting cathedrals and churches
to hear live organ music.
He served the Suzuki Association of the Americas for ten years, starting in 1981, as both Executive Secretary
and Journal Editor. Robert lived in Muscatine and was a close friend of Bill and Doris Preucil.
